Q1. What is the difference between login credentials and the authenticator code?

To log in to the FinStackk portal, you must use two different types of verification.

Login Credentials
  • Your registered email address
  • Your password
Authenticator Verification Code
  • A 6-digit code generated by your authenticator app
  • Changes every 30 seconds
  • Generated inside the authenticator app
  • Not sent by FinStackk via email or SMS

Important clarification:

  • The QR code shown during setup is used only once to connect your FinStackk account to your authenticator app
  • After setup the authenticator app automatically generates login codes

FinStackk supports authenticator apps such as:

Step 1: Log in with your credentials
Step 2: Set up the authenticator (First time login only)
  • If prompted, install an authenticator app
  • Supported apps: Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator
Step 3: Scan the QR code
  • Open your authenticator app
  • Tap “Add Account”
  • Scan the QR code OR enter the Shared Secret Key
Step 4: Enter the verification code
  • Open your authenticator app
  • Locate the FinStackk entry
  • Enter the 6-digit verification code
Q2. How do I create a password and set up the authenticator if I’m invited to FinStackk?

If you have been invited to FinStackk follow the steps below.

Step 1: Create your password
  • Check your email inbox for the FinStackk invitation email
  • If the email is not in your inbox, check your Spam or Junk folder
  • Click the “Create Password” link
  • Set and confirm your password
Step 2: Log in to your account
Step 3: Install an Authenticator App
Step 4: Set up the Authenticator
  • Open the authenticator app
  • Tap “Add Account”
  • Scan the QR code OR enter the Shared Secret Key
Step 5: Enter the verification code
  • Open the authenticator app
  • Enter the 6-digit code displayed
Q3. How do I set up the 6-digit verification code using the Authenticator App?

The 6-digit verification code is generated by an authenticator app.

Step 1: Install an Authenticator App
Step 2: Create or Reset Password
  • Open the “Create Password” or “Reset Password” link sent to your email
Step 3: Configure MFA
  • Open authenticator app
  • Tap “Add Account”
  • Scan QR code OR enter secret key
Step 4: Enter verification code
  • Enter the 6-digit code from the authenticator app
Q4. I created my password but skipped the authenticator setup. How can I set it up now?
Step 1: Reset your password
Step 2: Log in again
  • You will be prompted to configure MFA
Step 3: Install Authenticator
Step 4: Set up MFA
  • Tap “Add Account”
  • Scan QR code OR enter secret key
Q5. Why doesn’t my existing authenticator code work for my new account?

Each FinStackk account requires its own authenticator setup.

Step 1: Install Authenticator
Step 2: Create password
  • Use the “Create Password” email
Step 3: Configure MFA
  • Tap “Add Account”
  • Scan QR code OR enter secret key
Q6. I changed my mobile phone and didn’t transfer my authenticator codes. What should I do?
Step 1: Install Authenticator
Step 2: Reset Password
Step 3: Log in
  • Configure MFA again
Step 4: Add Authenticator
  • Tap “Add Account”
  • Scan QR code
Q7. How do I reset my password?

If you forgot your password or need to create a new one, follow the steps below to reset your FinStackk account password.

Step 1: Go to the login page
Step 2: Enter your email address
  • Enter the registered email address associated with your FinStackk account
  • Click Send Reset Link
Step 3: Check your email
  • Open your email inbox
  • If you do not see the email, check your Spam or Junk folder
  • Locate the FinStackk email containing the “Reset Password” link
  • Click the link to continue
Step 4: Create a new password
  • Enter your new password
  • Confirm the password
  • Submit the form to update your password

Your password will now be successfully updated and you can log in using your new credentials.
