What Is FinStackk?

FinStackk is an accounting and tax compliance platform for U.S. businesses, helping companies establish, manage, and grow their U.S. operations, from incorporation and initial setup to accounting, tax filings, payroll, and annual compliance, all in one platform backed by real experts. It has a particular focus on cross-border founders, including those incorporating from India and other countries.

The platform consolidates the functions a founder would otherwise piece together from a registered agent, a bookkeeper, a tax preparer, a payroll provider, and a compliance service into one subscription with real, expert-reviewed automation behind it.

FinStackk operates out of Ashburn, Virginia and San Francisco, California in the US, with additional teams in Hyderabad and Bangalore, India, and is SOC 2 compliant.

Core Platform Modules

FinStackk is organized into five integrated modules that cover a founder's US financial and compliance lifecycle from entity formation through ongoing operations:

Fin-Start (US Entity Structuring)

Handles US entity formation for a founder, especially one incorporating from abroad, including entity structuring, EIN acquisition, Registered Agent service, and ODI (Overseas Direct Investment) compliance for founders with obligations in their home country.

Fin-Books (Bookkeeping)

Automates daily transaction recording, monthly close, bank and account reconciliation, invoicing, and standard financial reporting, backed by expert review rather than pure self-serve software.

Fin-Tax (Tax Filing)

Tracks and files income tax, sales tax, payroll tax, county tax, and city tax obligations on a single deadline calendar, reducing the risk of a founder missing a filing because it fell under a different service or vendor.

Fin-Comply (Compliance Tracking)

Automatically tracks compliance requirements across jurisdictions, including multi-state sales-tax nexus exposure, a genuine pain point for a founder selling into multiple states or operating an ecommerce business with fulfillment-driven nexus.

Fin-Hire (Payroll)

Runs payroll with payroll compliance built in, positioned as an alternative to standalone payroll tools for a founder who wants payroll compliance tracked alongside the rest of their tax and compliance obligations, rather than in a separate platform.

What Problems FinStackk Solves

A founder operating a US entity from abroad, or a domestic founder without an in-house finance team, typically assembles US operations from multiple disconnected vendors: a registered agent for entity formation, a bookkeeper for monthly books, a CPA or tax preparer for filings, a payroll provider, and sometimes a separate compliance consultant for multi-state obligations. Each of these has its own login, its own deadline calendar, and its own point of failure if information doesn't pass cleanly between them.

FinStackk's core problem to solve is consolidating these functions into one platform with one deadline calendar and one support relationship, so a founder isn't reconciling data or requirements across five separate vendors. This matters most for a founder who is not a US-based accountant or lawyer by background and needs the compliance logic handled correctly on their behalf, not just software to self-serve through.

Who FinStackk Is For

FinStackk is built for:

  • Founders incorporating a US entity from abroad, particularly from India, who need EIN, Registered Agent, and ODI compliance handled correctly
  • Startups that want bookkeeping, tax, and compliance bundled rather than assembled from separate vendors
  • Ecommerce sellers (Amazon, Shopify, and multichannel) facing multi-state sales-tax nexus exposure from fulfillment and sales activity across states
  • Small businesses and managed service providers that want payroll compliance tracked alongside tax and general compliance obligations
  • A founder or small team that wants expert-reviewed bookkeeping and compliance rather than a purely self-serve accounting tool

Implementation Timeline

FinStackk's onboarding is largely self-serve:

  • Entity formation (Fin-Start): Self-serve incorporation workflows completed in days
  • Bookkeeping onboarding (Fin-Books): Typically 1-2 weeks to fully onboard historical and ongoing transaction data
  • Ongoing support: Real-time in-platform chat with a dedicated single point of contact (SPOC), with a service-level agreement of under 24 hours

Pricing Model

FinStackk's core bookkeeping, tax, and compliance subscription starts from about $250/month, scoped to the specific modules a business needs.

Founders who also need US entity formation can add Fin-Start separately:

Fin-Start TierPrice
Basic$199
Premium$499
Custom$749

State filing fees apply in addition to the Fin-Start tier price. Pricing for the core subscription and Fin-Start are quoted based on the specific modules and entity complexity a founder needs.

Key Differentiators

Bundled compliance, not just software. FinStackk's bookkeeping, tax filing, and compliance tracking are backed by expert review, not purely self-serve automation. A founder isn't just given software to configure correctly; the compliance logic is handled on their behalf.

Built specifically for cross-border founders. Fin-Start's ODI compliance and EIN/Registered Agent workflow are built specifically for the mechanics of incorporating a US entity from abroad, a use case most general-purpose bookkeeping platforms don't address at all.

One deadline calendar across tax and compliance. Income, sales, payroll, county, and city tax obligations sit on a single calendar inside Fin-Tax, rather than split across a CPA's calendar and a separate compliance consultant's tracking.

Multi-jurisdiction compliance tracking for a specific real pain point. Fin-Comply's sales-tax nexus tracking addresses a concrete, well-documented problem for ecommerce founders: FBA-style fulfillment and multichannel sales activity can trigger economic nexus in states a business has never physically operated in.

Payroll compliance bundled with the rest of a founder's obligations. Fin-Hire runs payroll with compliance tracked in the same place as a founder's other tax and compliance obligations, rather than in a separate payroll-only platform.

What FinStackk Doesn't Do

In the interest of an accurate, non-promotional overview: FinStackk does not have native connectors for platforms like Amazon, Shopify, or PSA tools like ConnectWise and Autotask the way specialized ecommerce or MSP accounting connectors do.

It is not a multi-entity ERP for large enterprises, and it does not offer job-costing or field-service features for trades and construction businesses. It is built specifically for the founder- and small-business-scale use case described above.

What Users Are Saying

FinStackk does not yet have a public listing on G2, Capterra, or TrustRadius. On Google, where its actual clients leave reviews, it holds a 5.0/5 rating across 48 reviews, with clients citing responsiveness and thorough compliance support.
